The Reasons I Stopped Being a Friend of Medium

The platform has been good to me in the past and I’ve met some solid writers as a result. There’s a great community here if you know where to look.

Back in March 2024, I was super excited about becoming a FOM. I joined without any reservations and wrote about it here:

Even before I became a Friend of Medium, I was fortunate enough to be read and encouraged by many FOMs. These writers are/were not just FOMs for the sake of being so, they wrote well and wanted to support content they liked. So I felt wonderful supporting them in return.
