The More You Write The More You Won’t Get Better
There are better ways to get…better
I keep reading writers saying
‘The more you’ll write the better you’ll get.”
Well, in some sense maybe. Practice does help on some level.
But if you don't have a voice, don’t understand the difference between it’s/its, they’re/there, you’re/your, loose/lose and other such sacrileges and continue to write more without either learning grammar or caring about your subject matter, I hate to say the obvious, but quite simply: You won’t get better.
You won’t get better if you’re not getting readers in the first place but continue writing more and more in the same style. Something’s not connecting with your viewers, so what is it? Unpack and reflect.
You won’t get better if you write every day and don’t care that your piece is riddled with errors, just because it earns you a few extra dollars. That’s a short-term plan.
You won’t get better if you’re using AI to get a template of 1K words and make changes here and there…
