An underrated gem in our quest to be writers of note - is the bookstore.

I’m not talking about the big commercial establishments necessarily, like a Barnes and Noble or a Waterstones.

Big-brand bookstores aren’t bad though. They have the luxury of offering a wide range of books in pretty much every genre you can think of. They have lots of space, staff, and possibly a cafe on site, to lengthen your browsing and purchasing time.

Big or little, wonderful titles hit you left, right, and center. The most intriguing headlines compel you to stop and pick the book up to learn more.

Various genres and topics leave you thinking how on earth did they come up with that? What made them write about it? How come I’ve never heard of this before?

Bookstores have the power to invigorate and bring out the best in you. We marvel at others’ creativity, but we all have it in ourselves if we know where to look.
